NUS has been conducting awareness rising program on drug abuse prevention among around 7000 adolescents and young people since 2002. Every year 26 June NUS organize rally and discussion meeting with the participation of young people in Dhaka city. Beside that, NUS has conducted 08 days long campaign program in Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet Rangpur, Dinajpur, Faridpur, Jessore, Mymensingh, Noakhali, Pabna and Narayangong districts. It organized programs in Dhaka, Chittagong, Barisal, Pabna, Kustia, Cox’s Bazar and Khulna. It also integrated AIDS prevention issue in the program considering 4 percent injecting drug users are HIV positive.
